At Bluecoat Primary Academy, music plays a large part of school life. With our weekly Collective Worship Singing Assembly, the children have the chance to sing together and listen to each other as part of a large group. They sing songs from other cultures, Christian songs, fun warm-up songs and learn how to sing in parts. Singing assemblies prepare the children for our in-school performances, performed in our school hall or our local church at Christmas, Easter and end of year performance.
Below, you will find a catalogue of some of the wonderful songs we teach our children at Bluecoat Primary as part of our Collective Worship Singing Assemblies. The videos below will enable you, your child and us as the Bluecoat Family to enjoy singing the songs we learn in school, at home. Enjoy!
Our Collective Worship Singing Assemblies are led by our Christian Distinctiveness Lead, Mr Palmer and our KS2 Phase Leader, Miss Hatcher.
