Food & Lunch Time

All Reception and Key Stage 1 children are entitled to a free hot two course meal paid for by the Government as part of the Universal Free School Meal scheme.

All meals are freshly prepared and cooked in our kitchens, meals are healthy and include plenty of fruit and vegetables.

We also offer a halal meat and vegetarian option each day plus a menu for children with allergies.

Eating a meal together with friends is a social event and is an enjoyable experience for children. It helps them learn the correct use of cutlery for cutting and slicing food and also gives them the responsibility of tidying away plates afterwards.

If you would like to start your child on our tasty dinners please contact us via the school office and we can arrange this for you. Meals for children in Years 3-6 who are not eligible to income-based free meals are charged at £2.30 per day via your Weduc account.

We also have fruit and milk available for children in Reception and Key Stage 1. Fresh drinking water is available for all children, throughout the day. If you would like to set your child up to receive milk each day this can be done via the Cool Milk website – please click here.

Children also have the option of bringing a healthy packed lunch to school if they prefer. We do encourage parents to only pack healthy items and ask that no sweets or fizzy drinks are included.

We have two different sittings each lunchtime time, 11.35am-12.25pm for our younger children and 12.30pm-1.15pm to our older children.
