It is an honour to serve as Executive Head Teacher at Bluecoat Primary Academy and Bluecoat Bentinck. Bluecoat Primary Academy opened in January 2015 and is part of the well-established Bluecoat family, which has been educating young people since 1706. This heritage enables us to offer a strong and positive start to every child’s educational journey.
Our Academy provides a caring, nurturing, and secure environment where every child is encouraged to strive to be the best they can be. We share a life-long love of learning and recognise that both pupils and staff are on a journey, acquiring deep knowledge, skills, and understanding along the way. We are committed to delivering the highest standards of teaching and learning so that all children achieve their potential. Lessons are stimulating, meaningful, and appropriately challenging, ensuring that pupils enjoy learning and make excellent progress.
We value collaboration and believe that everyone has something unique to offer. Our school community is wonderfully diverse, bringing together families from a range of social, cultural, and faith backgrounds. This diversity enriches our Academy and helps foster respect, empathy, and care among pupils.

Welcome from the Head of School
It is a privilege to introduce myself as Head of School at Bluecoat Primary Academy. I am deeply passionate about creating an education that inspires curiosity, builds confidence, and equips every child with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed, not just academically, but as well-rounded individuals.
My vision for Bluecoat is rooted in high-quality teaching and learning. Our curriculum is ambitious, broad, and carefully designed to spark a love of learning while preparing pupils for the next stage of their journey. We focus on deep knowledge and understanding, alongside creativity and problem-solving, so that children leave us ready to thrive in an ever-changing world.
As a leader, I believe in collaboration and openness. I value strong partnerships with families and the wider community because education works best when we work together. My priorities this year include:
