We are proud to be an RSC Associate School, working in partnership with the Royal Shakespeare Company and Theatre Royal & Royal Concert Hall Nottingham (TRCH). This exciting collaboration gives our students the chance to explore Shakespeare in active, creative ways, building confidence, teamwork, and a strong sense of voice.
This year, our students have been working closely with RSC and TRCH practitioners on A Midsummer Night’s Dream, using rehearsal room approaches to explore the text in depth – investigating character, language, and staging choices through practical, collaborative work. We are thrilled that they will take to the Theatre Royal stage on 7 July as part of the Playmaking Festival, performing alongside other schools in our cluster and celebrating their work in a professional theatre setting.
Our Student Ambassadors are also part of TRCH’s Creative Leadership in the Arts programme, where they work with theatre professionals, develop their leadership skills, and play an active role in shaping and championing the arts within our school.
